On the second weekend of November, solidarity shone brightly in the animal sector. A group of professionals committed to animal welfare came together to organize Esperanza Animal, a project that combined 21 presentations and a round table with a noble purpose: to raise funds to help animals affected by the recent DANA that impacted Valencia and other regions of Spain.
An initiative full of empathy.

The effects of the DANA not only devastated homes and landscapes, but also left countless animals in vulnerable situations. Overflowing shelters, lost animals and limited resources are just some of the challenges faced by local organizations. Against this backdrop, animal professionals decided to act.
The event brought together veterinarians, nutritionists, educators and natural therapists, all with a common goal: to improve the lives of those most affected. During the weekend, live talks were held on topics such as feeding for animal welfare, stress and emotional management in dogs, first aid for cats and dogs and a wide variety of topics covering the most interesting in animal care. There were more than 150 attendees.
A message of unity and hope
Beyond being an informational event, Animal Hope became a space for connection. Professionals and attendees shared experiences and resources, strengthening a network that will continue to help animals in need beyond the event.
Results and Acknowledgments
Thanks to the collaboration and generosity of all those involved, 3,407.52 euros were raised and donated to animal shelters in the most affected areas. This gesture will not only bring tangible help, such as food and medicines, but also hope for those who dedicate their lives to protecting animals.
The success of this initiative shows that, when we work together, we can make a difference. The animal community has sent a clear message: we are not alone in this fight, and there will always be those who defend the welfare and dignity of animals, even in the most difficult moments. Let us not forget that they (the rescue dogs) have also helped us in the search and rescue of people, resting little and working with commitment, dedication and effort.
Animal Hope does not end here; it is the beginning of a stream of solidarity that promises to continue to grow.
